Once again we are unhappy to announce that we have price hikes to pass on, courtesy of Web Pros.

.

It happened last year, and the year before that, and the year before that, all the way back to 2019. In news that’s almost as regular as our annual t-shirt giveaway, Web Pros have once again upped the costs of cPanel and Plesk licenses. And, as always, we are left to pass new prices through to our customers. Sorry.

New cPanel, Plesk and CloudLinux prices (2026)

Depending on your cPanel product, license prices will go up by 8.5-14.5%.

Most of the CloudLinux licenses that we issue come bundled with either cPanel or Plesk. So even though it’s not a WebPros product, they are still our supplier. The price of that licence will go up by a dollar to $39.

Plesk has fewer pricing tiers, with the Web Host Edition for VPS carrying the highest rise this time around.

Extended Lifecycle Support (ELS) for out-of-date Linux distros, including CentOS, was $25 and is now $50. Price hikes like this were signalled by Web Pros when ELS was first announced. If you don't have a planned move off your out-dated distro yet, it's definitely time to consider your options.

Could Cloud Containers be your way to beat Web Pros' market power?

Web Pros, owners of Plesk and cPanel, are going to keep testing their market power like this. They believe that users like you are much more likely to pay higher prices than you are to leave their products behind.

But since you're a SiteHost customer, you might have an easier way out than most.

Cloud Containers are our most popular hosting platform, built on open source foundations and therefore entirely free of any software licences. They’re flexible and easy to use, too.

That’s not the only way off the WebPros escalator. Whether you want to make a move now or just plan for later, we’re ready to talk through your options. The answer will depend on the environments you want to run and the way you manage user access to each of them. Once we know what you need to run your business, we’ll be glad to help.
