SiteTech Group Acquires Vocus NZ’s Domain and Web Hosting Business

Our parent company is proud to announce the acquisition of Vocus NZ’s domain and web hosting business.

Our parent company, SiteTech Group, is proud to announce the acquisition of Vocus NZ’s domain and web hosting business, which includes iSERVE, Kiwi Web Host, and Maxnet.

The newly acquired business will be merged into MyHost, which is a sister brand of SiteHost’s. MyHost has been growing strongly after successfully merging with WebSliceNZ last year.

This acquisition has been timed to allow for migration of .nz domains off Vocus NZ’s systems before the new IRS platform goes live in November. This will allow thousands of domains to continue to operate as they should even as Vocus NZ exits this industry.

Web hosting will be migrated later, and the brands operated by Vocus NZ will all be retired.

Nathan Russ, Managing Director of SiteTech Group, says, “The work required to adapt to the new IRS wasn’t a logical investment for every provider currently in the market, and Vocus recognised that. Domains and hosting are our core business, so we are fully prepared for the new platform. We’re ready to bring our new customers onto future-proofed infrastructure that will offer a better overall experience for years to come.”

“We’re delighted that Vocus NZ chose us. As a 100% New Zealand owned and operated company with thousands of kiwi customers, we’re well-placed to welcome more locals and impress them with our fast, modern infrastructure and highly-rated customer service,” Russ says.

MyHost is welcoming new customers, starting with .nz domain holders, from Friday, October 21.
